Your first time at the controls
An Intro Flight is a hands-on discovery flight designed for first-time flyers and future student pilots. You’ll meet your instructor, review a simple preflight plan, and then head out to the airplane where you’ll learn the basics: how the aircraft works, what the instruments do, and what to expect during takeoff and landing.
Once airborne, you’ll get time on the controls (as conditions allow) while your instructor handles the critical phases and keeps everything safe, smooth, and fun.
What you’ll do during your flight
- Meet your instructor and go over a short preflight briefing.
- Walk around the aircraft and learn key safety checks.
- Take off and enjoy a scenic local flight route.
- Try basic maneuvers and feel what flying is really like.
- Return for landing and debrief with next-step options.
Routes and flight time may vary based on weather and air traffic.
